Not sure what they mean here. TIA.

Il cuore di un’azienda è in tutte le persone che articolano il battito della sua vita

English translation:embody its mission
Explanation:
I expect the Italian public would find the original less vomit-inducing than an Italophone English native translator would, hence this attempt to tone it down slightly whilst remaining 'in genre'. As Claudio says, the original does go round and round itself a bit, but I don't expect the client would thank you all that warmly for retaining that feature in the translation.

Thanks Oliver. I've decided to use this as it sounds the most natural and I wanted to avoid the use of "life".. Claudio's sentence was perfectly good, but seemed just a little too simplified. Thanks to everyone!

Employees are the heart of the company

Explanation:
In addition to being purple, as Tom said, the phrase is circumlocuitous ("The heart of the company is made up of people who make its heartbeat" - GAG!), and as such, warrants simplification.

neutral  Tom in London: technically your suggestion is a good translation, Claudio, but whether you like the gag-making prose or not, as a translator surely you have to keep it ...

-> Depending on the context. If this were a quote in a legal document, sure, but I routinely explain to clients how the translation should serve to improve the writing for the sake of better communication, and thus, warrants editing where appropriate.

agree  Marie Scarano: simple and effective. This is most likely for a web site or company presentation, and those reading it will just want to get to the bottom of the page.

oops - I forgot that "heart" (cuore) had already appeared earlier in the sentence. So maybe the following would be better:

"give expression to its pulsating life".

equally purple :)

express its beat of life

Explanation:
"The heart of a company resides in all those who express its beat of life."

Let's hear it for cheesy, nonsensical extended metaphors! The "beat of life" is an English cliché, and goes well with the heart bit.

Lots of other people have put similar suggestions, so sorry if I'm being repetitive but I just wanted to give you another option. I put confidence level 5 just cuz I'm sure of my translation, not cuz I actually like it. ;)

"Soul", to avoid repetition of "heart"
