I thought stewed for rosticciati but I can't find any translation for moscardino, which is a little octopus

The rosticciata has the sense of being over a wood fire as far as I can tell

Explanation:
Moscardini are definitely baby octopus, and a delicacy in Liguria, one I am very happy to say I have had.

Rosticciare is an older term for roasting, as per this older cookbook I found on google.

It could be that they're cooked on a griddle rather than tossed/sauteed in a pan - but we don't have enough context - the sentence/whole phrase is needed really; definitely not stewed, though, as this involves liquid
