I had a look on Google and only 4 results came up for this term. I can understand from the context that it refers to a sort of "smelling point" or "fragrance point" - has anyone ever come across this term before and knows of a correct translation for it or should I become creative here?!

I used the translation "fragrance bar" in the text as it was specifically talking about the fragrance of wine within the context of experimentation by a perfume specialist. Otherwise perfume bar would work nicely in general perfume texts.
