This is for a flat iron, correct?

A flat iron with a punta fredda antiscottatura has a tip made of a heat resistant material, so if one accidentally touches the scalp while straightening the hair, the scalp is not injured.

neutral  Sarah Elizabeth Cree: a cool down/shot button is for quickly cooling the hair to lock in a style. This question is about an anti-burn technology, antiscottatura, right?

  -> From what i found, after additional research, it seems to be a mini grip at the end of the iron, not really anti-burn technology. Although it does sound fancy in italian :) Maybe Pauley can elaborate, otherwise!?!?
