Durante la fase di progettazione di un nuovo prodotto, il Resp. R&D verifica le giacenze, la valorizzazione e l’eventuale rotazione delle materie prime già esistenti in magazzino al fine di poter convenientemente utilizzare materie prime già disponibili presso l’azienda.

I really have no idea what they mean by valorizzazione here. Thanks for any help.
