Italian term or phrase: un bene
How would you translate the term 'bene' in this context ? I'm not sure I can use 'commodity'.
Thank you in advance !
Manuela:-)

[Occurrence 1]

Definition of 'Public Good'
A product that one individual can consume without reducing its availability to another individual and from which no one is excluded. Economists refer to public goods as "non-rivalrous" and "non-excludable". National defense, sewer systems, public parks and basic television and radio broadcasts could all be considered public goods.

-> And merce is bene. Anybody who has studied economics knows about excludable, non excludable and rival goods. You might speak of a commodity, but never an asset in this sense. I gave the wikii reference because it explains what I already know.
