2.7 COMPENSATION
Since the University operates a credit-based system for its awards in accordance with the SCQF, the scope ***to compensate for fail grades*** in one or more modules is limited. Such compensation will be permitted under Regulation 7 on Assessment where the modules between which compensation is applied are at the same academic level and have related intended learning outcomes. Compensation rests on evidence that intended learning outcomes in a failed module have been achieved elsewhere in the same year stage or level of the programme of study.
