Italian term or phrase: scaglioni

I have two sentences concerning a university explaining its courses. In one sentence it states Gli incarichi possono essere composti da due tipologie di scaglioni: and immediately after Per gli incarichi composti solo da scaglioni per esame, non è disponibile l'orario delle lezioni.

I know scaglione as being range, tier and bracket, and even slot, however none of these seem to make sense here. Any ideas??

Explanation:
given the little context this may help but I would say "two different types of sets" rather than the Italian which does not include "differente". For the other one I would suggest. For those appointments with only one set per exam the timetable is not available.

As well ''tier'' and ''bracket'' as you mentioned sound alright to me.

due tipologie di scaglioni two tier types of....

composti solo da scaglioni per esame,... only made up of those in the exam bracket... I think we could say this in English for the translation.
