Italian term or phrase: montante macchina
I am working on the translation of a resume for someone who worked in the field of electrical engineering. I came across the phrase "montante macchina" in the following context and don't know how to translate it.

Progettista elettrico strumentale per lo sviluppo di schemi di avviamento, controllo e protezione delle centrali (montante macchina e sottostazione). In sintesi le attività svolte, erano le seguenti:
Sviluppo di schemi funzionali

installation of machinery
Explanation:
'Montante' is the present participle form of the verb 'montare'
http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/montante

montare = to istall
http://en.bab.la/dictionary/italian-english/montare

So, literally 'montante' would be 'installing'. The noun form reads better here, IMO.

'Macchina' shouldn't be a problem to understand, I s'pose?

Correction of typo:
montare = to install
