An electrician told me that this was "un pulsante che va ad eccitare un relé, che a sua volta può accendere una lampada. si usano per accendere da più punti."
I understand the concept, but I don't know how to say it in English. Impulse button?
I'm not sure that, in this context, jog switch sounds like the right term. As far as beep switch on Eurodicautom, I saw that, too, but it has to do with aeronautics and I didn't find much information backing that up...

Hi Katherine, yes there is such a thing as impulse switch, but I don't know if that's the correct translation of pulsante a impulsi.

A questo punto la macchina funziona unicamente se il «pulsante a impulsi» è premuto e se è aperta soltanto una porta;
