Explanation:
"campo" in italian also means range of values. ventosità is the intensity of wind you would expect (which is normally measured as wind speed). in the attached link the power produced by a turbine depends on the wind speed. since the sentence is about the calculation of energy produced by wind this may be a correct translation.
