Tech/Engineering - Engineering (general) / pipe processing
Italian term or phrase: accompagnamento
Context:

...

Suggested translation in English:
Haul-offs for [accompagnamento] of corrugated pipes in PVC, PE and PP with or without socket.
Key features:
Independently driven caterpillars using vector motors, which provide constant [accompagnamento] power.
...

The above description is almost identical to that for a similar machine, but obviously the two machines must perform different functions. Here's the translation of the description for the second, similar "haul-off" machine:
(not my translation, by the way)

Haul-offs for hauling rigid pipes in ABS, PVC, PE and PP.

Advantages and key features

1. Independently driven caterpillars using vector motors. They allow a constant pulling power. Furthermore, they reduce energy waste and the number of moving parts subject to maintenance.

2. Long caterpillar contact length. It assures a good grip on the pipe and provides considerable pulling power.

3. Caterpillars bow profile. It favours low stretching and wear of the caterpillars, and as a consequence, a longer life of the machine.

4. Pivoted upper caterpillars which feature a pipe squashing control system.

5. Motorized positioning of lower caterpillars that can be adjusted according to the diameter.

6. Chain conveyors with neutral rubber pads on chains that do no mark the pipe.

Any suggestions greatly appreciated.
