Km0

Plain and simple. Know what it means and I think we even had it on proz before. But I can't find it and it just won't come to me.

Explanation:
Km0 is often used to mean the above, Vehicles are sometimes registered by dealers, but are not used and then sold at a lower price to meet manufacturers quotas

neutral  SYLVY75: sorry, but this is the wrong context. We are talking about environmental sustainability here, not about cars. Pls read the discussion entries to know what I mean. Bye!

zero kilometre

Explanation:
We are referring to the "zero kilometre" campaign that aims at reducing pollution by reducing "food miles"

That's right, it refers to an Italian Coldiretti's campaign. However, you may translate it “zero food mile”: "Food miles, the distance food travels from field to plate, is a way of indicating the environmental impact of the food we eat."

Asker: Hi Elizabeth. Looks to me like a reference to an Italian based campaign run by Coldiretti.

agree  Barbara Carrara: Absolutely. The 'food mile' concept was born in the UK (Prof Tim Lang, in case you wished to google it). Coldiretti simply translated the miles into kilometres. Cheers, Barbara
