Italian term or phrase: chiusino carrabile

This document is a report of a preliminary investigation that was conducted because of a leakage of some detergent into the ground. Groundwater and soil was sampled and analysed. The paragraph I have pasted below comes from the "Installation of Monitoring Piezometers" section. Preceding this paragraph, there is a table that indicates the depths of all 11 monitoring points. It then goes on to talk about the cores that were extracted and how they were labelled and then talks about the installation process. It then says:

Lo spazio anulare esterno alla tubazione piezometrica è stato in seguito riempito con materiale drenante (ghiaia fine) in corrispondenza del tratto fessurato e per 0,5 m al di sopra di esso; al di sopra del filtro è stato posizionato uno strato di sabbia (30 cm) seguito da uno di bentonite (0,5 m), seguito verso l’alto da una miscela cemento¬bentonite fino a p.c.

Ciascun piezometro è stato completato con la posa in opera di un chiusino carrabile (PZ1 - PZ6) o fuori terra (PZ7).

Can anyone help with the term "chiusino carrabile"?

Explanation:
The word carriageable is in the dictinary and very common, but tends to mean "can be carried" in English. A "manhole cover" would not seem appropriate here because the "hole" has been filled and nobody would go down it. However manhole covers are almost by definition "carrabile" made of heavy duty iron and concrete.

Explanation:
CARRABILE is usually an adjective used to describe elements and qualities around a HIGHWAY/ DRIVEWAY. As in ";www.Garzanti.it" :

The most common word use describing this feature in UK docs and websites seems to be "Highway". Driveway was a bit more limited when I looked these up, but it would probably still work.

These European commission notes show (towards end of point 27) how CHIUSINO refers solely to, and translates literally as, MANHOLE.

I don't think the term "cover" needs to be mentioned here as it is understood in English usually that a manhole is a covering.
