Italian to English translations [PRO]

Sounds like it should be something like contour map or relief map, but I can't find any references to this.

I asked an Italian geologist friend of mine, who specialises in soil mapping, if he knew what this term meant and this is the explanation he gave me:
Carta clivometrica è sinonimo di carta delle pendenze (banale). Credo che il termine derivi dal fatto che sulla carta topografica in origine fosse usato il “clivometro”, strumento che tutti possiamo costruirci (see ref 1) a un determinata scala è possibile stabilire delle classi di pendenza. La carta in genere è colorata con sfumature diverse a seconda della pendenza, che ovviamente non è assoluta ma divisa in classi (0-10%, 10-20% ecc ecc).
In inglese se la traduci come carta delle pendenze (o carta delle classi di pendenza, più preciso) credo vada benissimo.
