In questo progetto vengono applicate le tecnologie di genomica ambientale più all’avanguardia per determinare presenza ed attività di consorzi batterici naturali specializzati nella biodegradazione dei solventi clorurati in siti d’interesse.
L’attività sperimentale si basa sia su ***analisi coltura-indipendenti*** che sullo studio microbiologico e molecolare di consorzi batterici attivi.
Saranno sviluppate specifiche applicazioni di metagenomica batterica (pyrosequencing) per analizzare i batteri presenti nel sito, con la possibilità di determinare l’intero genoma di una o più specie chiavi.
