Not at all sure how 'integrale' translates here. Appears in a table alongside:

MOL, Risultato Operatvo, EBIT normalizzato, EBIT integrale

I came across this definition online:

Risultato dell'Area Straordinaria (RAS) (32.258) 1.032.687. EBIT Integrale (EI) = (EN) + (RAS)

"normalised" means ajdusted with extraordinary items removed, while "integrale" (a bit of an unusual way to refer to it in Italia) means as actually stated *fully* in the financial statements.

EBIT (net operating income) only excludes non-recurring items in presentations where non recurring items follow it. Clearly here they are included in what has preceded it. Don't you have the income statement? You have to remember that "EBIT" in an Italian text could be a bit fuzzy. Look at the figures and the rest of the context and see if your translation reads as something which makes sense. I regularly translate press releases with the distinction of "stated" and normalised figures. However, I see your dilemna.

Asker: Hi Jim, been going round in circles with this one today. I'm just not getting the meaning. The only definition I've been able to find is 'pari alla somma dell'EBIT normalizzato ed il risultato dell'area straordinaria', which doesn't make sense to me as EBIT always excludes earnings from non-recurring activities... Otherwise, your suggestion makes perfect sense. Do you think the definitions I found could be wrong (found in the Bilanci of two different companies)? I hate it when I can't find a proper defintion!! TIA
