Italian term or phrase: vasca di borbottaggio
Term to be used in the material and methods section of a scientific paper to be submitted for publication to an international journal. The subject is the industrial processing of salad. Specifically, the vasca di borbottaggio is a basin where salad is gathered, and water and air are pumped in, so as to move the salad around and thoroughly wash it.

The "grumbling effect" part seems to be used only by this manufacturer, judging by google entries... the simple "washing tank" is far more popular :)

Seems like "bubbling washer" is more frequently used than "....grumbling...". Washing tank is too generic for a scientific paper. I think I'll use bubbling washer. Thanks for your help!
