Explanation:
this is a tricky one, but anything else would be too long and involved. 'pane americano' is usually also soft. but 'soft bread' does not sound appetizing at all to me personally. and I am an American who has lived in Italy for decades. in Italian they call it pan carre'.

Explanation:
