Italian term or phrase: latte alta qualità
I have a question. Does high quality milk exist outside of Italy as a true and proper classification? I am translating the following and can't seem to find anything that tells me that this classification actually does exist, i.e. in the UK or US, etc. I can translate the words but I am wondering if the concept is real. All the references to "high quality milk" I find seem to be more generic and advertising and not in the sense indicated below:

Thanks for any help

neutral  LaraBarnett: But wouldn't this name be specific to US under their food regulations? If it is Italian rather than US milk how could it be Grade A? i.e. an institutional name rather than a general one.

neutral  philgoddard: Your reference says that grade A is any milk which is suitable for drinking, which is far from being the case here.

high quality fresh milk

Explanation:
Why not high quality milk

# High quality fresh milk: it gets raw to the dairy plant directly from farms having particular hygiene and feeding characteristics, submitted to only one pasteurization process, nominal duration the same as fresh one. It can only be full-fat, and it seems to be standardized at 3.7%. High quality is a legal definition that can be given only to the kind of milk with the described characteristics.
