"Dear Sir or Madam" is the correct way to address a letter to an unknown person and we tend not to use the plural form of address.

Dear Ladies and Gentlemen


Explanation:
Although for a written letter you would normally say Dear Sir/Madam, there is not an easy way to say this in the plural.

This form of address is usually reserved for speech. However As a means of sticking to the plural form used in the Italian, and as the names of the individuals are not mentioned this could be used as an alternative. It is not so common, but would be quite acceptable in this situation.

  • "If you are addressing to an organization and not an individual, then use the following: Ladies and Gentlemen:..."
