La Costiera amalfitana è il tratto di costa campana, situato a sud della penisola sorrentina, che si affaccia sul golfo di Salerno; è delimitato ad ovest da Positano e ad est da Vietri sul Mare.

My main problem can be summed up in this way: is the text saying that the Amalfi Coast begins in the west at Positano itself or that it begins to the west of Positano, i.e. not in Positano itself but a few kilometres to the west of Positano?

when I put "bordered by Positano" into Google it came up with this, which I'd have thought is the most straightforward way of putting it, though other ways work too

sorry, in answer to your question, I'd say it means it starts from Positano, not from beyond it
