History / heraldry term
Italian term or phrase: banda ondata d’oro
It's a heraldry term. I found a picture of it on an Italian site but need the English term!
http://www.radicedidue.com/Toscana/toscana.cgi?rdd1=04&rdd2=...
Just in case it helps, my sentence is:
Entrambi recano, sotto la scritta, uno stemma rosso alla banda ondata d’oro.
Thanks!

Undy, or ondy(old fr. undé and oundé, mod. fr. ondé), frequently termed wavy: one of the lines of division(as its name implies) drawn like the waves of the sea

p.s. if you check the first site and look for undy and wavy there are pictures of the different crests. Ciao again

agree  Mario Marcolin: bend wavy (dexter) or/gold - when "sinister" isn't specified "dexter" is often assumed. cf http://heraldry.lordkyl.net/glossary/glossary_b.html. The bend (banda) is a bit adjusted so as not to cover the chevron with roses!
