Italian to English translations [PRO] Human Resources
Italian term or phrase:cuoricini scaccia pensieri
handed out at a major international management conference so that the big chiefs could put them on their desks and always be reminded of the very successful staff engagement programme that has been implemented in italy and that won first prize at the proceedings.
Sorry, I have no idea what they are called in English, but couldn't they be referring to those so-called "anti-stress" squeezable things that come in all sort of shapes (I have globes, hearts, ducks). Maybe stress-relievers?
a funny paradox though: those things are supposed (literally of course!) to send thoughts away, which is a sort of amnesia... but here we call them mementos! Memento mori!
But how else can we call them, "little heart-like ghismos"?

Explanation: I'd keep it generic - no way to tell what that "scacciapensieri" really means, unless you have a picture.
