Explanation:
when dealing with victims of GBV (gender-based violence), total discretion and putting the person at their ease is essential.
I have recently translated a manual on this subject and the phrase used was 'interview session' for each meeting, although of course the interview has nothing in common with a work interview - it is a listening session

neutral  Simona V: the word 'interview' sounds out of place when speaking to victims

  -> try googling "gender based violence" "first interview" sessions and you will see how many agencies use this terminology. I agree it sounds weird at first but it is the terminology most used

Information about sexual harassment and discrimination are given in brochures to employees at orientation. However if the context is not employment but, as suggested by LorraineB, a brochure on gender violence, I would agree that "assessment interview" might be more accurate. However more context could help answer the question.

  -> Perhaps, but there isn't much text given to definitively determine the meaning. It could also be about creating a "safe environment" for disclosure by the victim of violence as well. As I said in my initial answer, it is difficult without more text.

  -> Since when does meet and greet not apply? The victims are getting the chance to meet their social workers, perhaps. The phrase should be welcoming, I would assume.
