Please no literal translations! Just interested to see if anyone can come up with a snappy solution to this really weird motto.

Il motto dell’edizione 2010 di Alpette Rock Free Festival sembra essere “rivoltiamo il rock come un calzino!”.

the last word in rock


Explanation:
retaining the sock simile doesn't seem like it ought to be a priority; if, as Angio says, the basic meaning is that the festival will say all that there is to be said about rock, leaving no (rolling) stones unturned - pardon the pun - then something like this offering could work.

And they probably ought to think about changing their name to "Alpette free rock festival", as it is it sounds like anything but rock...
