Italian to English translations [PRO] Idioms / Maxims / Sayings | | Italian term or phrase: ambo, terno e quaterna | Brief intervention during voting at the European Parliament.
Sergio Paolo Francesco Silvestris (PPE).
– Signora Presidente, quello che alcuni colleghi stanno cercando di suggerirle – trattandosi dell'ultima votazione di oggi, giovedì – è che se lei dice solo "approvato" o "respinto" va bene, non c'è alcun bisogno di dire "452 hanno votato; 53 contro; 22 a favore; ambo, terno e quaterna....."
I was thinking it must be "and so on and so forth" or something like that...but can find no confirmation. Any ideas appreciated.
