Dopo aver parlato con Pession, Galeazzo Ciano mi richiamò nel suo ufficio. Gli manifestai il timore che qualora i tedeschi avessero appreso ufficialmente (né sarebbe stato decoroso da parte nostra continuare a menar il can per l'aia) che "Radio Mosca" era un servizio del ministro della cultura popolare, avrebbero certamente prevalso su Alfieri perché alla trasmissione venisse conferito un carattere tipicamente tedesco, con l'introduzione di elementi polemici pertinenti ai loro problemi diretti con l'Unione Sovietica.
