examples. I think basically it means to dispose of investments in a sector, where you have a choice of where your premiums are invested. The use is strange because, if you disinvest (this term also exists in English), you are obliged to invest in something else and in these cases you usually talk about "switching". However, "divest" could normally be used in the sense of "divesting a person of their interest in a policy".
