Italian term or phrase: riporti attivi e passivi + pronto contro termini attivi e passivi
We\'re talking about contango and repo agreements, but my problem is how to express attivi and passivi (and I don\'t want to use active and passive).

Italy
positive and negative contangos + spot against positive and negative futures
Explanation:
Also see Dizionario Garzanti: riporto con deporto, passivo = backwardation, making me surmise that the sing. form with attivo is the translators' bugbear: 'forwardation'.

Quaere: backwardated and forwardated contagos?

'... is renewed, there is actually an interest rate risk, since *backwardation* or when
short rates are higher than long rates might occur (*negative contango*). ...'

Explanation:
riporti attivi e passivi + pronto contro termini attivi e passivi
I am reading pronto as debits and credits due shortly. Say, within 30 days.
Hope it helps.
