Italian term or phrase: farci su una fantasia
Ciao a tutti,

Qualche idea?

Grazie in anticipo e buona domenica,
Maura

make a game of it/create a role for yourself

Explanation:
Hi Maura,

My suggestion is to use "make a game of it" which we use in English when we don't want to take something too seriously. Here it could work because the author talks about interpreting a part later in the sentence, so it's obviously something to be taken lightly.

The other option I though of was "create a role for yourself" which perhaps ties in better with the idea following of the "mito di riferimento" is redundant with "interpretare una parte".
