Again, same context - list of people classed as worthy of contempt. Critical article about the rise of the "product endorser" as a symbol of our materialistic times.

disagree  Giulia Galvan: non sono d'accordo per "vamp", in realtà le "sciorette salottiste" sono delle parvenues che frequentano salotti altolocati, ma la cui preparazione culturale è dubbia, e ancora meno la capacità di essere attraenti

  -> Volevo che ci fosse un tocco di ironia nel mio uso del termine "middle-class vamp" per dire una tipa un pò appassita - ma ammetto che tradurre il tremendo Arbasino con il suo modo di scrivere "Guardate, guardate come sono fuori dalle righe" è una sfida...

il termine di origine dialettale "sciorette" è denigratorio, quindi, anche se esagerato (perché magari le siorette sono effettivamente invitate nei salotti, ma dal termine "salottiste" si capisce solo la loro passione per gli "eventi"), gatecrashing forse raggiunge l'effetto desiderato. anche il loro più o meno vano desiderio di essere aristocratiche è insito nel termine sciorette
