Italian to English translations [PRO] Journalism / history | | Italian term or phrase: il pudore di accesso del visitatore | This is from an article on the history of the Ospedale degli Innocenti in Florence, designed by Brunelleschi. Originally an orphanage, today it is home to three nursery facilities, a kindergarten and a museum. It still acts as a refuge (albeit temporary) for children from difficult situations.
"E fa impressione muoversi nei suoi ambienti di una solennità che rispetta comunque **il pudore di accesso del visitatore**, mentre dai cortili giunge il chiasso gioioso degli ospiti della «Casa dei Bambini»"

Explanation: As a variant.
I think it's worth hinting at the "shame" component in the word "pudore," as the text may be echoing the fact that many prior visitors did in fact enter on what for them was probably a shameful mission, namely to offer a baby up for adoption.
