Italian term or phrase: Società di scopo
This is a contract between two companies that are setting up "societa' di scopo" (societa' is plural). Has anyone ever heard of this term?

Thanks.

Explanation:
It is a company set up for a specific "scopo," or purpose.

Check out this link where it talks about them indirectly in relation to società di progetto, which appear to be similar (project based, or for just one reason)

special purpose joint venture

Explanation:
This is not referring to securitisation-style SPVs but rather companies set up to carry out a specific activity. It appears they often have a public-private partnership application.

I am not sure of the exact corporate form so would hesitate to say they are a consortium company or have a finite duration...
