Italian to English translations [PRO] Bus/Financial - Law: Taxation & Customs / Tax Return | | Italian term or phrase: attivita' non esercitate | Hi, there. I am translating an Italian tax return and I came across this sentence in the self-declaration:
'Dichiaro di aver conseguito esclusivamente i seguenti redditi [...] derivanti da attivita' commerciali NON ESERCITATE abitualmente percepiti dai soggetti a carico del richiedente ovvero dal coniuge non a carico.' What does 'non esercitate' mean in this context? Thanks for your help |
| | | non-professional activity | Explanation: there might be another way to say it but you must read the sentence all together NON ESERCITATE ABITUALMENTE
that activity is not the habitual professionality/job of the taxpayer

as per further explanation another way to say it could be in fact:
taxpayer's non-habitual job/activity |

| Grading comment Thanks for this. I had not realised that 'abitualmente' referred to 'esercitate' and not to 'percepiti'. Now it all makes perfect sense! 3 KudoZ points were awarded for this answer |

Asker: Grazie! A volte, quando si e' stanchi, non si riescono a vedere le correlazioni tra le parole! A mia discolpa, posso solo dire che la frase era un po' piu' complicata e coinvolgeva familiari a carico e mogli non a carico per cui non si capiva benissimo! Grazie ancora mpw
