Italian to English translations [PRO]
Law/Patents - Law: Taxation & Customs / certificate of no proceedings pending
Italian term or phrase: non risultano pene da espiare
it is part of a certificate of judicial and criminal records, basically it says that there are no pending proceedings and no PENE DA ESPIARE. supposedly no suspended sentences but I am not sure about Law terms for it.

no (outstanding) sentences to be served

Explanation:
This seems to have its ordinary dictionary meaning (e.g. see "espiare" in Garzanti). The person has no pending criminal charges or sentences for criminal convictions that are yet to be served. (This doesn't seem to preclude the possibility that the person has criminal convictions but has completed his or her sentence for these: there is usually a separate document dealing with criminal convictions.)
