acknowledgement of the consistency of the facts

Explanation:
...the ruling is reached through the acknowledgement of the consistency of the facts, object of the mentioned ruling...

The literal translation for "continuazione" would be "continuation". But I think the idea is that of consistency, regularity, concurrence.

It's just a suggestion. Hope it helps.

*Continuazione*:

Italian criminal law distinguishes between multiple offenses, *continuing offenses*,and formal multiple offenses. (...) A *continuing offense* is where more than one act is committed, even at different times, in pursuit of a single criminal design. In
such cases, the offender is imprisoned for the sentence of the most serious offense, increased by up to one-third.

***

*Continuing offense* (Black's Law Dictionary):

Type of crime which is committed over a span of time (...) A *continuing offense* (...) is one which may consist of separate acts or a course of conduct but which arises from that singleness of thought, purpose or action which may be deemed a single impulse.

The most common example of apparent real concurrence is a *continuing offence*, where each act in a series of separate but closely related acts fulfils all the elements of a certain criminalisation. In such circumstances, it is possible to regard the entire transaction, or series of repeated crimes, as a single crime. For these acts to be joined together, certain linking elements should be taken into account, such as the repetition of the same kind of crimes, the uniformity of the perpetrator’s intent, the proximity in time between the acts, the location, the victim or class of victims, the object or purpose, and the opportunity.

1] Criminal Law - Crimes - Continuing Crimes - Determination. Whether a defendant's conduct constitutes one continuing offense or several distinct acts for which separate crimes could be charged depends upon a commonsense evaluation of the facts and circumstances. The fact that one person was the victim of all the defendant's unlawful acts is insufficient, by itself, to render the conduct a single transaction.

Funny how my second reference mistranslates the Italian (*aumento fino al triplo della pena* vs *increased by up to one-third*)

;-)
