This from an appeal in an EU case against a company for price fixing.
"Viene da chiedersi se la Commissione non abbia scelto di non coinvolgere nella indagine FELICITA GROUP BV, scegliendo invece di riversare ogni e qualsiasi responsabilita, in successione ed in ultimo, alla sola MARGHERITA SAC, sol perche' ..."

It's the in successione ed in ultimo part I don't know. Any ideas?

successione i the legal sense means substitution as well as succession. Succession is associated in English with probate and taking-over something. I would avoid the term. to prevent confusion-

I'm not sure if it is the right legal term but, in English, "in successione ed in ultimo" should mean "successively and lastly". Hope it helps!!
