Italian term or phrase: logica applicata al trattamento
The text concerns Data Protection law in Italy. The paragraph is the following

L'art. 7 conferisce all'interessato l'esercizio di specifici diritti, tra cui quello di ottenere dal titolare la conferma dell'esistenza o meno di propri dati personali .... della logica applicata al trattamento, degli estremi identificativi del titolare e dei soggetti cui i dati possono essere comunicati".

How should the word 'logica' be translated in this context?

This is frequently used in translations from Italian like the one you're doing, and although it's translationese I find it acceptable in that context.

It isn't something one would actually write in English if one weren't translating, though, we'd follow Paul's approach - better English.
