Italian to English translations [PRO]
Law/Patents - Law (general) / logos and logotypes
Italian term or phrase: filettatura
Nel caso di inserimento del logotipo su un fondo di colore xxx si utilizzerà una seconda filettatura, più sottile, intorno al logotipo stesso.

In the context of a non-3D logotype. What they're essentially doing is adding a drop shadow effect but how do we say "filettatura" in English?

So far I've used outline but need something more specific. I've also had to remove "una seconda" as it doesn't work with outline (there is after all only one outline so including "una seconda" would be misleading...)!

Where the logotype is to be inserted on a blue background, a fine outline will be created around the logotype itself.

Notes to answerer
Asker: Thanks Vania - in the end I went with my own suggestion of "drop shadow" but thanks for your suggestion.
