Italian to English translations [PRO]
Law/Patents - Law (general) / un verbale della Polizia Stradale
Italian term or phrase: F.L.C.
Contesto:
"F.L.C e sottoscritto in triplice esemplare in data, ora e luogo di cui sopra dal verbalizzante e dall’indagato che, per gli usi consentiti dalla Legge, ne riceve un’esemplare."
Non riesco a trovare un utile spiegazione dell'abbreviazione.

English translation:read and confirmed
Explanation:
fatta leggere e confermare I imagine

--------------------------------------------------

i.e., the Police make their report, get the offender to read and confirm the contents and then sign it

of course, since it's followed by 'signed', it would of course be 'read, confirmed...'
Even though the Italian uses a causative structure - fatto leggere.. - this would perhaps sound strange in English. The Police GETTING you to/MAKING you confirm something sounds a bit like coercion ...

per F. non so che dire.
Comunque la formula F.L.C. non credo sia comunissima (ma attendo smentite)

trovato, è _Fatto_
es. Verbale fatto, letto, confermato ecc.

Non so cosa poi cambia nella resa in English

La formula per esteso "Fatto, letto, confermato e sottoscritto" è molto più ricorrente dell'abbreviazione, a quanto vedo.
