Asker: thanks a lot

Asker: I've also found : letter of indemnity for lettera di manleva... maybe for domanda di manleva we could use indemnity application or indemnity claim??? just a thought, in order to keep the meaning of manlevare as indemnify and of tenere indenne as hold harmless, as Annalisa suggested!!

agree  Annalisa Degli Esposti: I had sometimes also found that "manlevare"/"mallevare" means to indemnify but I think that to hold harmelss perfectly explains the concept.
