Italian to English translations [PRO]
Law/Patents - Law (general)
Italian term or phrase: sottrarre
Whole phrase is as follows:

"Ai sensi dell’articolo 492 del Codice di Procedura Civile, il pignoramento consiste in un’ingiunzione rivolta al debitore, dall’Ufficiale Giudiziario, di astenersi da qualunque atto diretto a sottrarre alla garanzia del credito esattamente indicato i beni che si assoggettano all’espropriazione e i frutti di essi."

I received this explanation from an Italian lawyer, but I still don't know how to translate the "sottrarre alla garanzia del credito i beni che si assoggettano all’espropriazion" part, particularly the verb "sottrarre":

"A é creditore verso B di un importo di 1000 euro. Per recuperare il suo credito A pignora beni a B per l'esatto ammontare del suo credito e quindi per un importo pari a 1000 euro. B, a garanzia del credito di A, non dovrà quindi sottrarre dal suo patrimonio beni o frutti di questi beni che diminuiscano la garanzia di A per il recupero del suo credito."

English translation:circumvent
Explanation:
As a literal translation it is of course withdraw, but I don't think it produced a very helpful translation.

I would rearrange

"sottrarre alla garanzia" to "circumvent the guarantee"
