of the whole sentence is still unclear to me, since I don't fully understand the process described in the manual. I left it as "The humidity of the pasta requires that the product be taken from the drying area and ground to a reference granulometry" in my document. This was a proofreading project, and in this case I left the sentence as the original translator had written it.
I'm certain that "reference granulometry" is the most direct translation of "granulometria di riferimento" ... I'm just not sure if the sentence as a whole makes sense (and again, I think the original Italian sentence is also poor).
I haven't heard anything back from the (engineers and others in charge of the manufacturing) telling me that there was any problem with my revisions.
