Italian to English translations [PRO]
Tech/Engineering - Manufacturing / canning
Italian term or phrase: R.O. %
From the same canning tests document, we have tests to be performed on a tank of tomato juice: pH, R.O.%, and Moulds. It also specifies that R.O.% must be performed with a refractometer - so I wondered if it should be R.I., but it's written twice so it doesn't seem to be a typing error. And in any case surely refractive index is an absolute measure?

Reverse Osmosis was the first thing I thought of, but I didn't see how it could be valid here for a variety of reasons. The translation agency thought it was more likely to be "residui organici", so in the end I used "O.R.%".
