Sono ancora usate in certi casi grandi caldaie a cippato di legna.

Il "cippato di legna" sarebbe semplicemente legname in ceppi e grossi pezzi, quindi "billet" come puoi vedere su qualunque buon dizionario.

"wood chips" sono invece i trucioli, che non sono affatto usati in questi tipi di caldaia - le caldaie a truciolato di legna sono tutt'un'altra cosa !

i billets sono il materiale di partenza, che viene spezzettato per generare il cippato con cui viene alimentata la caldaia. Che comunque non sono trucioli o truciolato, ma \"spezzettatura\" fatta sul posto di materiale più grande. Perciò proporrei \"finely chopped billets\", ma continuo a pensare che \"wooden chips\" sia sbagliato.
