Italian to English translations [PRO]
Tech/Engineering - Materials (Plastics, Ceramics, etc.) / ceramic surface treatments

Italian term or phrase: listoni

For a company specialising in ceramic surface treatments. I know these are long, narrow pieces usually, but I'm not sure what the term would be with reference to ceramics:

"X [company] dispone oggi di quattro linee di produzione per levigatura, lappatura, taglio e rettifica **listoni**, spazzolatura a secco e rettifica"

Explanation:
"long or large sized" could be put before "rectangular floor tiles" to be more explicit.
As 'listoni' is usually the term for parquet flooring, in this field I'd say it refers to the elongated floor tiles that many Italian tile manufacturers are currently selling (many with imitation wood vein design). I saw lots like these when I recently helped a friend to shop for tiles for her new house!
