Italian to English translations [PRO]
Medical - Medical: Cardiology / cardiology
Italian term or phrase: estricazione
This is an all-too-literal transcription of an interview - what is the doctor comparing in the last two sentences here? Extrication and pericardial effusion?? Does that make sense?

English translation:removal?
Explanation:
Anthony,
You have to work with a terrible text....

Where it says "e quindi il giorno dopo ci si è premurati tutti insieme di evitare", could it be that 'insieme' is replacing 'invece'? (Or, perhaps 'evitare' is incorrect & they meant some other word...).

It's hard to make sense of it. My guess is that they're talking about some foreign body that was in the pericardial sac and produced pericardial effusion/tamponade.

Perhaps this a pt. who had chest trauma with a penetrating injury? Or had heart surgery and the surgeon left a small instrument in, that had to be removed??

In boca al lupo :-)

I hadn't realised I hadn't awarded any points, so thanks for not sending me any hate mail! ;-)
Is this a negative proZ record for the time between an answer being given and points being awarded?

The client was really appreciative of my translations, and credit goes to you for all that help you gave me!
