PARESTHESIA

PARESTHESIA : Numbness, prickly sensations without point specificity, or abnormal hypersensitivities, all local to one part of the body, and without an obvious cause.

Your foot falling asleep is paresthetic, but not paresthesia, the cause is you sat funny.
