Something to do with body temperature? In the description of a patient's condition at the time of discharge:

"La paziente viene pertanto affidata in data odierna alle vostre cure in VI giornata postoperatoria, in buone condizioni generali, chirurgicamente guarita, con alvo ricanalizzato ai gas ed alle feci, *** eupnoica *** ed apiretica, arti inferiori nonnotermici e ben per fusi, motilità e sensibilità ai 4 conservata e diuresi spontanea e valida."

knowing that "apiretica" means that she is apyretic, or without fever.
